Your doctor may recommend you to go for general or specific screening tests that you may need depending on your health profile and the corresponding risk factors.
If your family has medical history of a certain disease, it would be beneficial to test for it. If you have signs of risk factors for certain diseases, it would be beneficial to go for a screening test too.
You would need to fast for a minimum of 8 hours before the screening to ensure accuracy of the results of your cholesterol profile and glucose tests. No food or drinks are allowed during the fasting period except for plain water.
As you will be fasting for blood tests, kindly withhold all medications except for anti-hypertensive medications. You should take them after the tests are done. For ultrasound, exercise stress test or echocardiogram, you may continue consuming your medications as usual.
Yes you can. It would always be beneficial to know your body’s status especially during pregnancy.
Blood and urine tests take about 10 minutes. For ultrasound, exercise stress test and echocardiography, it can take up to 30 minutes to an hour for each test.
Our patients’ confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us. We strongly encourage you to come back to the clinic to review your results. If you are unable to come in-person, we are now offering teleconsultation as a complimentary service. There will be no charges incurred for the teleconsultation service.
For blood and urine tests, it will take up to 24-48 hours. For ultrasound, exercise stress test or echocardiogram, the results are immediate.
Yes, you can. However, we will only be able to collect your urine sample 7 days after your menses is over.
You will need to contact your insurance provider to check for coverage.
